Creative Ketchup #2

Mar 22, 2026

Hello again, friends,

It’s me, the ketchup artist! In this letter, I’ll share some deep thoughts, the secret sauce to my art process. This month on the table - seasonal depression (not seasoning, although it’s been quite spicy this year…) with a side of creative doubt, but it’s almost over, how lucky!

THOUGHT FOR FOOD

The Parallel Universes We Live In

Have you noticed how we all live our own versions of reality, and how different they can be to everyone else’s, even if we experience the same things? I’ve been thinking about this my whole life. Each of us has a unique perspective on the world, and an understanding of life, shaped constantly by our experiences and thoughts.

I see it now more than ever before. Whenever I open social media, it’s filled with posts similar to what I last engaged with, and very little from the people I actually care about. There’s little authenticity when algorithms dominate our experience - pulling us into trends or deeper into echo chambers. I can’t keep up with it anymore. Honestly, after more than 10 minutes, it even makes me feel a bit nauseous.

Have you ever had a conversation with a friend or relative where it felt like you were remembering completely different stories? Or a moment when someone suddenly seemed distant or upset, and you couldn’t understand why? They might simply see things you didn’t, or assume intentions you never had.

This happens all the time, and I wish we talked more openly about what we actually feel and think. I’m sure we’d be surprised by each other’s perspectives.

This is one of the thought processes that led me to paint in the way I do now, my new wave of expression. It’s a way for me to express my raw and honest feelings, and they’re rarely simple or straightforward. Ave Love invites you to listen to your own feelings and to find more understanding towards other’s.

SUNDAY SEASONING

What’s going on in my head lately?

The seasoning 🧂 of today’s newsletter is thoughtfulness.

Life can feel draining in this fast-paced world. Let’s try to look at each other with a little more understanding and care. Show some love, offer some kindness. I believe good intention always come back to us. Love will always be stronger than hate. ❤️

On that note, I’d love to share a painting from my latest series Ave Love, titled Unum (meaning Unity). It’s about how life’s different paths always come back together, and how everything is connected.

✨ Unum is currently on display at Café Charmé in Prague Kunratice, until April 3rd. If you happen to be nearby, I’d be very happy if you stopped by.

GENTLE EXHIBITION REMINDER

Bold Advisor at Café Charmé

The joint exhibition with my mum in Café Charmé, Prague Kunratice, is still on display through March till April 3rd. If you’re interested in seeing it, I’d be very happy to hear your thoughts on it.

Thank you for being here and for reading. More soon, gently and honestly.

With love,

Elisabeth
